Minomushi Pendant Light
Artemide

Product Description

Design by Issey Miyake and Reality Lab.
By Artemide.

The IN-EI collection revolves around a fabric derived from entirely recycled materials, diffusing light in an extremely interesting way. The fiber is made using PET bottles, processed using innovative technology that reduces both energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Issey Miyake's artistic vision, combines new 3D mathematical process with the Japanese tradition of light.

Each lampshade is created using 2 or 3D mathematical principles, where the light and shade harmoniously alternate. Issey Miyake's unique folding technology creates both statuesque forms as well as sufficient solidity. The structure of the recycled material, together with an additional surface treatment allows these shades to perfectly keep their shape without the need for an internal frame. The shades can easily be stored flat when not in use.

The Minomushi Pendant Light features a recycled fabric shade with an internal frame made with a diffusing tube of extruded methacrylate, frosted both internally and externally. The internal part of the tube is fitted with extruded aluminum, which serves as a heat sync. Accented with white painted die-cast aluminum caps and a canopy in white opal polycarbonate with laser etched Artemide and IN-EI logos. Dimmable with electronic low voltage dimmer (sold separately). Ships with 3 feet of cable.
