The Lorosae Pendant from Nemo uses a simple structure and flared, colored glass shade to keep the layered light it casts the center of attention. Designed by Álvaro Siza for his exhibition at the Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza in 1999, the pendant took home the coveted IF Design Award in 2003, and uses an aluminum canopy and slim cable to support a translucent glass shade around central lamping, showing off a retro shape with modern construction. The shade’s open base casts a bright wash of light below, while the shifting surface of the translucent glass glows with an inner light.
