The Empatia LED Table Lamp from Artemide is inspired by the association between the excellent glass-blowing tradition and LED technology. This product features a white painted die-cast aluminum base with a hand-blown glass diffuser. The diffuser is clear toward the bottom and frosted at the top to allow reflection of the light without losing efficiency. A transparent methacrylate light pipe guides the light to the diffuser, and the interior reflector plate within the diffuser is painted white aluminum to allow the light to reflect off it.
